Emergency Housing Vouchers
We see them on the streets and in business doorways—these stairs might lead up to your home or place of business. The homeless have lost their way in life and do not have the resources to find their way back to wholeness. This program, funded primarily through HUD Community Development Block Grants in the City of El Cajon, allows us to assist homeless men, women, and families that are homeless in El Cajon for up to 28 days. The goal of the program is to place participants into long-term programs that will move them from homelessness to productive members of our community. They may choose to come into one of our programs, or our trained social service case workers will find them a program suited to their needs. We are looking for partners to assist financially with this program, as the grant monies do not fully meet the needs of our community, and are limited to El Cajon. All donations to this and all the programs at ECTLC are tax deductible, and together we can end chronic homelessness in our county.
